Tripura Governor Interacts with Tripura University Students, Encourages Big Dreams and Early UPSC Preparation
Agartala, Tripura: Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu interacted with first-semester undergraduate (UG) students of Tripura Central University (TCU) at the Durbar Hall of Lok Bhavan in Agartala this morning. During the session, the Governor discussed the students’ family backgrounds, educational journeys and future aspirations, offering guidance on personal development, academic discipline and career planning.
Emphasising the importance of learning from real-life experiences, Governor Nallu encouraged students to understand their parents’ professions and learn about the challenges, responsibilities and experiences associated with their work. He observed that such interactions could provide valuable practical knowledge and help young people develop a better understanding of life.
The Governor also advised students to remain connected to their roots by learning about their families, villages and local communities. He said that understanding one’s background and surroundings helps build a strong sense of identity, responsibility and social awareness.
Encouraging students to pursue their ambitions with confidence, the Governor urged them not to place unnecessary pressure on themselves. Instead, he advised them to work hard, dream big and remain determined to achieve their goals.
During the interaction, Governor Nallu encouraged students to consider appearing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations and other competitive examinations. He stressed the importance of starting preparation early, setting clear goals, maintaining discipline and following a systematic study plan.
He also highlighted the value of reading newspapers regularly and staying informed about current affairs, noting that consistent efforts and awareness of national and international developments could support students in their academic and competitive examination preparation.
The Governor further encouraged students to seek guidance from their faculty members when making academic choices, exploring career opportunities and planning for the future. He emphasised that proper guidance, continuous learning and a well-planned approach could help students make informed decisions and progress towards their aspirations.
Dr. V. M. Darlong and other faculty members of Tripura University were also present during the interaction session.
The interaction was organised as an opportunity for students to engage with the Governor and receive guidance on education, career development and their responsibilities as members of society.
